To keep in mind for the preparation of your trip

Here you will find relevant information to take into account when preparing your trip. 
Do not hesitate to contact us with any doubts you may have, or to request something special.

Riding ability

Please note that to participate in our routes you must be in good physical condition and be comfortable walking, trotting and cantering.
As far as our rides are concerned, there are ones for all riders. Choose the one that suits your level.
You will find in the descriptions of the routes and walks the level of riding required according to the following classification:

Initiation: has never ridden a horse

Beginner:  has ridden very little.  Has not had or has had very few riding lessons.  Unable to trot raised.

Intermediate:  has control of all three gaits on a well-tamed horse on easy terrain outdoors and with the supervision of a guide. Competent use of aids and can ride for several hours.

Advanced:​  rides outdoors regularly and has been riding a horse for years.  Correctly uses aids. Rides safe and comfortable outdoors at a gallop in a group and on uneven terrain. Is comfortable riding for a minimum 6 hours per day.  Is in good physical shape.

Expert:  rides outdoors regularly, is very fit and comfortable and competent in all 3 gaits on any terrain.  Rider can jump or dodge obstacles and has experience riding different horses.  Is comfortable riding 6 or more hours per day. 

Currently, our rides  Cala Higuera and Playazo are suitable for all levels of riding. However, for the rest of the walks and routes, the minimum level required is intermediate.

Minimum age 

Adolescents from 12 years of age can participate, if they are accompanied by an adult and their level of riding adapts to that required on each route or ride.
From the age of 16, it is not mandatory that they be accompanied by an adult, as long as they have the written authorization of the legal guardian.

Preparation of the horse

The participants of the routes must know how to prepare their horse.

Regular schedules on the trails

On the day of arrival at the hotel, a meeting will be held at 8:00 p.m. in which the participants and the guide will introduce themselves.  During the meeting, information will be provided about the timeline and details about the trail, in addition to the refinement of the riders’ profiles in order to assign them the adequate horse.
We will wait for the clients at the stables at 9:30 a.m. every day so that they can begin to prepare their horse.
Picnics usually start at 1-1:30 p.m. and last until approximately 2:30 p.m., including time for rest or a brief nap.
Dinner in hotels is usually available from 8:30 p.m.
Long itinerant routes usually end around 5-6 p.m.
On days when there is a change of accommodation (in the case of itinerant routes), clients must leave their luggage at the hotel reception before 9:30 a.m.

Don't forget to bring

for the routes: "all-terrain" riding boots, appropriate riding pants, gaiters, helmet, gloves, sun protection, insect repellent, mosquito bite relief,   a non-breakable canteen, and a swimsuit. We will provide you with saddlebags for the entire route.  
For equestrian stays:  "all-terrain" riding boots, appropriate riding pants, helmet, gloves, sun protection, insect repellent and mosquito bite relief and a non-breakable canteen.

Insurances

To participate in our routes, you must have:
a) Accident, recovery, repatriation and civil liability insurance b) Health insurance valid for the European Union that covers horse riding accidents. EU members must bring their European Health Insurance Card, and riders from outside the EU must have health insurance with EU coverage. 
In the case of private medical insurance, they must be valid for Europe. 

Hotels and restaurants

On exceptional occasions, when the hotels we normally offer are not available, we will accommodate our guests in facilities of equal or superior quality and comfort.

 

Lunches and dinners include one drink in addition to water: soft drink, beer or a glass of wine. Breakfast includes one coffee or herbal tea.  Any additional drinks will be charged separately and directly to the client.

Group transfer schedule 

Our standard group transfer schedule is subject to change due to other participants' flight schedules and delays, traffic, etc.

Itineraries

Itineraries are subject to change due to weather or other circumstances.  We reserve the right to change itineraries at any time if necessary.
